Olympic archers tapped to teach beginners
MANILA, Philippines - Olympian Jasmin Figueroa, along with current national team members, will be on hand to lend their expertise and share their experiences with budding archers during the opening of the country‘s first archery pro shop today at the SM Mall of Asia.
The shop, dubbed ¨SGandiva,” is located at the ground floor of the Entertainment Mall, Seaside Blvd. and is managed by Gandiva Sports, a sporting goods company specializing in state-of-the art archery equipment and accessories.
Along with Figueroa, also gracing the opening are bemedalled archers Joan Tabanag, Abigail Tindugan, Christine Bismark, Kit Cojuangco and Amaya Paz, among others.
They will interact with budding archers and participate in archery fun games.
For the month of April, the shop will hold free archery trials from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. under the supervision of qualified trainers, among them national archers.
Clinics for archery beginners will also be held, with a special package being prepared by Gandiva Sports as part of its introductory offer.
