MANILA, Philippines - The Tennis Academy of the Philippines Foundation Inc. and Fil-Estate Sports Foundation Inc. will hold a tennis summer camp at Manila Southwoods Sports Club in Carmona, Cavite, beginning April 4.
Former Davis Cup team coach Manny Tecson will conduct the tennis camp whose objective is to develop a new generation of tennis players using scientific training methods.
The camp is patterned after a successful program which Tecson developed during his five-year stay at the Kobe University and Kakogawa Tennis Academy. The program was responsible for the rise of junior Ryoko Fuda at world No. 7 and All-Japan champion Kaori Onishi.
“We are inviting everybody to take advantage of this opportunity to enroll in our tennis camp. This is surely the best way to spend the summer, not only for the kids but also for the adults,” said Tecson.
