Homeless World Cup up
MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine finals of the Milan 2009 Homeless World Cup will be held April 25 at La Salle Greenhills with a big number of aspirants expected to vie for berths in the team.
Teams of homeless kids aged 8-16 years old (boys and girls) numbering around 700 will vie for berths in the RP team competing in the one-of-a-kind football festival dubbed “the first Homeless Football Festival” in Milan, Italy.
The project is supported by Monchu Garcia of the Ybarra Olive Oil, Nonong Araneta of the Mariposa Travel International and president of the Iloilo Football Association, Danny Moran and Patxi Elizalde.

The Milan 2009 Homeless World Cup project is organized by Urban Opportunities for Change Foundation (UOFC), which has the exclusive right to form the Philippine Homeless team for the second straight year.
