HOOPS holds summer clinics

MANILA, Philippines - Hoops School (HOOPS), one of the most advanced basketball schools in the country today, is now open for registration for boys and girls who wish to learn the fundamentals of the game.

Advanced students or those who have attended Hoops in the past can register for Hoops “Next Level” Basketball School.

Founded by former PBL commissioner and PBA team manager Charlie Favis and PBA seven-time Best Import Bobby Parks, Hoops will kick off its summer camps in various venues:

The Meralco Gym camp starts March 28 (9-11 a.m., S-M-W-F) and the Sta. Lucia Mall camp March 30 (1-3, 3-5 p.m., M-W-F).

Hoops is sponsored by Wilson Sporting Goods, Accel, Spalding, and Konka Television. Other Hoops camps and clinics are scheduled at Divine Light Academy in Las Piñas, Ynares Sports Center in Shaw, IS Montessori in Bocaue, FAITH in Tanauan, Batangas, St. Mary’s Academy in Caloocan and Immaculate Heart of Mary College.

The camps are open to kids six to 17 years old. For P1,650 registration fee, enrollees can attend seven two-hour sessions of training under veteran trainers and coaches.

They will also get free items such as a training ball (to improve spin and rotation), reversible jersey, sports bottle and sports bag.

For kids enrolling for the Meralco gym clinic, visit the Hoops offices at Unit 912, City & Land Megaplaza Bldg., ADB Avenue cor. Garnet St., Ortigas Center (behind Galleria). For the Sta. Lucia enrollees, register at the Hoops booth, ground floor, Sta. Lucia East Grand Mall, beginning today until the end of the month.
