Coaches seminar slated in Davao

MANILA, Philippines - The second edition of a comprehensive basketball coaches’ seminar is scheduled March 31-April 2 at the Davao Central High School gym in Davao City with a panel of resource persons from Manila to discuss various topics.

Provincial coaches from all over Mindanao are invited to the level 1 seminar organized by Futures Sports & Events and sanctioned by the coaches commission of the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP).

The topics covered are the formative aspects of sports and youth basketball, methods of training, conditioning for basketball, the winning combination of attitude and skills and basketball coaching.

Resource persons are sports medicine expert and former PBA team trainer Niño Sinco, Ateneo Basketball League head coach and senior coach of Coach E Basketball Academy Tyrone Limon, former Air21 assistant coach and Ateneo de Manila PRADA juniors coach Benjie Sipin, and teambuilding facilitator and organizational development consultant Lito Cinco.

The first seminar was held in Dumaguete City. A third one is scheduled in Baguio.
