PSC supports three table tennis projects
MANILA, Philippines - Philippine Sports Commission chairman Harry Angping approved yesterday the three table tennis association requests which have been pending early this year.
“I really want to help them because they are sort of forgotten due to past leadership conflicts in their association,” said Angping.
Angping approved the budget for two Chinese trainers, the national team’s campaign in the World Championship in Yokohama and the construction of a table tennis gymnasium inside the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex.
The PSC chief has been offered to head the RP delegation to the World Table Tennis Championship slated April 28-May 5 in Yokohama, Japan.
Although he supported the team’s campaign in the world championship, Angping said the TATAP request for that event remains under review.
TATAP president Cesar Hawthorne Binag, who is currently in Singapore, said the association needs at least P18 million this year for its sports program.
