Cream Silk team debuts in Ultimate Frisbee
MANILA, Philippines - Team Cream Silk is ready and confident as it competes in the Ultimate Frisbee International Beach Tournament for the first time starting March 21 in Boracay.
“We are very excited to participate in this year’s tournament and we feel that Team Cream Silk has a great chance to win. We really have the passion and the love for the sport, and we’re not afraid to go out there and shine this summer,” said Reema Chanco, head of the 12-member team in the two-day event..
The tournament is an annual event participated in by Ultimate Frisbee enthusiasts in the country. Now on its seventh year, Boracay: Castaway is the theme for this year’s tournament.
Ultimate Frisbee, introduced here in 1999, is considered as one of the emerging sports in the country today. It is now part of a Physical Education curriculum in some schools.
