Larry's Cup charity tourney ends today

MANILA, Philippines - A Mercedes-Benz C-180 and a Ford Focus are at stake as hole-in-one prizes in the fourth Larry’s Cup, a fund-raising event held in honor of Transportation and Communications Secretary and National Golf Association of the Philippines president Leandro Mendoza, which ends today at Wack Wack’s west course.

Boosting the prize package for aces in the tourney presented by Stradcom Corp. with San Miguel Corp. and Aboitiz as co-presentors are Club Car and Yamaha which offer their latest-model carts to the banner field of players from the business, private and government sectors which played yesterday and today.

Proceeds of the charity event also serving as a birthday tournament of Mendoza will go to the Ramendo Livelihood and Education Foundation, Inc.

Rep. Mark Llandro Mendoza, the tournament chairman, said those who played yesterday and today will vie for the many tournament and raffle prizes, including Philipine Airlines tickets and merchandise prizes during the dinner and awarding ceremonies at 6:30 tonight at the Shaw Pavilion of Wack Wack.

Backing up the event are Amalgamated Motors Phils., FF Cruz, E.M. Cuerpo, Philippines Airlines, Gruppo Armani, Asia Cargo Container Line, CATS, Ford EDSA-Greenhills, Sumitomo, AVIS Rent-a-Car, Kart Plaza-Yamaha Golf Cart, Club Car Golf Cart, Herma Shipping, Aboitiz, Spirit of Manila, Jamecca Insurance Agents Inc., Sybase, 7107 Islands Cruise, 3W Builders and Teddie Construction.
