MANILA, Philippines - Colegio San Agustin bagged two titles last Sunday in the multi-level 13th BEST Center Women’s Volleyball League at the UP gym in Diliman, Quezon City.
The CSA girls took the elementary (competitive) crown by beating Miriam College, 25-14, 25-22, and then completed a double by winning the elementary (developmental) plum at the expense of Saint Pedro Poveda College, 25-19, 25-17.
St. James Academy and St. Scholastica’s College ruled the high school (competitive) and high school (developmental) levels, respectively.
St. James turned back San Beda College Alabang, 22-25, 25-18, 25-17, 25-23, while St. Scholastica rolled back St. Theresa’s College, 18-25, 25-23, 25-19.
Hope Christian High, Assumption College and De La Salle Araneta University emerged third-placers in the high school (competitive), high school (developmental) and elementary (developmentl) levels, respectively.
Hope whipped San Antonio de Padua, 25-20, 25-18, Assumption nipped Assumption Antipolo, 25-20, 26-24, and DLS Araneta ripped School of Saint Anthony, 25-14, 25-13.
Sportsmanship awards went to St. James (high school competitive), Assumption College (high school developmental), Miriam College (elementary competitive) and Saint Pedro Poveda College (elementary developmental).
