MANILA, Philippines - Philippine National Police Table Tennis Club dethroned reigning champion Bacolod-LOPTTA, 3-0, to capture the title of fourth Flexible Cup International Table Tennis Championship over the weekend at the Ateneo Blue Eagles gym.
PNP defeated Andro team, 3-0, while Bacolod-LOPTTA crushed Malaysian team, 3-0, in the semifinals earlier to arrange a title showdown in the event supported by Flexible Packaging Corporation, Peony Commercial and Grand Family Association Inc., Mr & Mrs Sy Sing Kai Memorial Foundation, Vicente & Juanita Hao Chin Chua Foundation, Two Seasons Boracay, Ateneo Manila Athletics Department, Watertec, Sureshot Sports Ville, Mortabond and Armak Tape Corp.
The two-day international event, organized by Table Tennis Association of North District (TATAND) headed by president Charlie Lim, is also supported by newly inducted Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) chairman Harry Angping.
