Antipolo mayor supports bodybuilding

-

Antipolo City Mayor Nilo Leyble pledged to support bodybuilding which could serve as a tool to help develop and train the youth of the city.

The mayor said bodybuilding is an excellent sport for the youth to engage in to learn values like discipline, sportsmanship and the importance of hard work.

“Bodybuilding will help the youth of Antipolo. Engaging in the sport will help them learn the value of taking care of themselves and help them stay away from destructive habits like using drugs,” said Leyble.

The ad hoc committee of the Antipolo Federation of Body Building Club took their oath of office before Leyble at the Monday morning flag ceremony at the Dimasalang Park.

Jerick Ternida, the 2008 Muscle Mania Universe overall titlist, was guest of honor.

Leyble pledged his support to the club and promised to organize more sports activities that will help the youth.

“I congratulate the newly elected officers of the ad hoc committee of the Federation of Body Builders of Antipolo. I will support your move to strengthen the promotion of this sport in our city.”

Antipolo has many talented young men for this physical fitness program but such programs couldn’t take off the launching pad.

“Antipolo has many talents in bodybuilding with its many gyms especially in Lower Antipolo. Some of the clients patronizing these gyms want to improve. Now is the time to promote this sports program,” said Boyet Mariñas, a gym owner and member of the ad hoc committee.
