Harbour thru; Bacchus leads

-

Harbour Centre made it three in a row over Hapee, pulling off a tough 70-66 victory yesterday to clinch the first championship berth in the PBL PG Flex Linoleum Cup at The Arena in San Juan.

Reed Juntilla and Al Vergara took charge down the stretch while the rest backed them up with a gritty defense as the Batang Pier completed a sweep of their best-of-five semifinal series with the Complete Protectors.

Juntilla, a former Cebu standout, fired 15 points, including a clutch three-point shot in the last 1:24 that gave the Batang Pier the momentum.

In the other semis duel, Bacchus Energy Drink relied on the hot shooting of Patrick Cabahug as it trounced Magnolia Purewater, 89-83, to grab a 2-1 lead.

Cabahug finished with 19 points as the Energy Warriors go for the jugular tomorrow. A deciding Game Five, if necessary, is on Saturday.
