Two players hit two aces and went home with a Rado Watch and a Yamaha Golf Cart during the first round of the Bill Shaw Classic at Wack Wack’s West Course recently.
Gerard Qua knocked down the first hole-in-one in the four-day tournament, Wack Wack’s blue-ribbon event featuring member-guest teams, acing the 155-yard No. 14 with a Tourstage 5-iron and Bridgestone No.1 ball. He won a brand new Rado Watch.
William Dy also came through with an ace in the second day, making the feat on No. 8, another 155-yard hole, using a Golf Smith 60ron and Titleist No.1 1 ball. He bagged the Yamaha Golf Cart.
Boy Rosero and club director Tommy Tan shared the OSIM Massage chair prize while Ray Jacinto and Jojo Villar also shared the Mido Watch prize on fun holes on Nos. 2 and 12, both par 4s, where they made their shots from 200 yards off the mound. Under tournament format, multiple winners will share the prizes equally.
Other fun holes winners in the event, which also staked Mercedes-Benz C180 cars, Mazda 3, Dodge Journey, Frederique Constant Watch, Club Car Golf Cart, Texas Eagle Electric Golf Cart, Tissot Watch and Sharp French Door Refrigerator for aces, were Richard Santos, Jesus Romero, Willy Tee Ten, Gen. Gavino and Dr. Bibly Macaya (nearest the pin) and Antonio Ocampo club president Luis Tan and Enrico Solon (most accurate drive).
