Mango Tee rites up at Alabang draw

The traditional opening ceremonials will usher in the biggest ever staging of the Mango Tee member-guest golf tournament of the Alabang Country Club on Jan. 31.

Former President Fidel V. Ramos, Muntinlupa Mayor Aldrin San Pedro, Alabang Country Club, Inc. president Rudy Estrellado and the various heads and top executives of sponsoring companies have been invited to hit the ceremonial balls for the silver anniversary edition of the Mango Tee in the afternoon ceremony.

Expected to join them are Pilipinas Shell president Ed Chua, Julie Carceller of Smart Communications, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corp. president and CEO Masahiko Ueki, Citimotors president Paul Ching and the co-chairmen of the Mango Tee committee, Atty. Johnny Castillo and Vic Guzman.

Competing in the 25th edition of the Mango Tee set for six days from Feb. 2-7 are 384 teams led by back-to-back overall champions Arnel Manganti and Arnold Duay.

Co-presented by Pilipinas Shell and Smart Communications, this year’s Mango Tee is also backed by Mizuno, La Mancha Pyro, Philippine Airlines, Skyline, Pisanti, Pepsi, Golforce as major sponsors.

Citimotors and Mitsubishi are giving away the latest Mitsubishi models as hole-in-one prizes while The Turf Company/Texas Eagle and Yamaha/Kart Plaza are boosting the prize package with brand-new carts.
