Three teams slug it out for quarterfinal slots

-

The battle for the last three quarterfinal berths heats up today as Toyota Otis, Burger King and Pharex go for the crucial wins to remain in the hunt in the PBL PG Flex Linoleum Cup at the Emilio Aguinaldo College gym in Manila.

The Sparks, in fifth place with a 4-6 card, and the sixth running Burger King Stunners (4-7) collide in the main game at 4 p.m., while the Generix (3-7) try to stay in the race as it plays the third-running Bacchus Energy Drink (6-5) side in the 2 p.m. opener.

Pharex must win its last two games to advance to the next stage of the season-opening tournament.

The BK Stunners are also in a must-win situation, hoping to pounce in on the Sparks’ on-and-off form although the latter is coming off a big win over the Magnolia Wizards last week.
