Older Pagunsan rules Aguinaldo golf

-

Veteran Juanito Pagunsan shot a three-under-par 65 to rule the PGAP (Professional Golf Association of the Philippines) yearend tournament at the Camp Aguinaldo Golf Club recently.

Pagunsan, father of Asian Tour campaigner Juvic, gunned down four birdies against a bogey at the par-68 layout, finishing with a solid 33-32 card worth P30,000.

He beat Robert Pactolerin by two strokes as the former RP Open champion settled for a 67 for joint second with Russel Honrubia and Rico Depilo.

Joenard Rates matched par 68 while Tony Lascuña, Jay Bayron and Orlan Sumcad turned in identical 69s.

Rey Pagunsan and Ricky Marcelo each scored a 70.

Meanwhile, JR Casas and Marjorie Pulumbarit topped the amateur and ladies divisions of the one-day tournament.
