RI Alumni Cup slated Jan. 16 in Canlubang

The Rizal Institute Alumni Association will hold the RI Alumni Cup golf tournament on Jan. 16 as a prelude to the Rizal Institute Alumni Association (RIAA) grand homecoming in Canlubang, Laguna.

An 18-hole affair, the event will be held at the quaint, tree-lined Canlubang golf course with competitions set in three classes.

The RI alumni homecoming is slated Jan. 17 on the RI campus with the whole-day affair capped by ballroom dancing, according to RIAA president Ely Baradas.

Hundreds of Rizal Institute alumni all over the country and those based in the US and Europe are expected to attend and participate in the grand event, said Baradas.

Majority of the participants of this tournament will be made up of balikbayans and local alumni together with guests and sponsors.

The tournament is part of the fund-raising drive of the association for scholarship program for deserving children of RI alumni.
