John Hay Chairman's Cup on

BAGUIO CITY – The Camp John Hay Golf Club, fresh from co-hosting the very successful Fil-Am Men’s Invitational, hosts the ninth Chairman’s Cup tournament starting today.

Club chairman Robert John Sobrepeña is expected to lead close to 300 participants in the two-day event in the country’s summer capital. Members will play to the Stableford format while the guests and sponsors will compete via the Molave system.

Players will be classified into Class A with 0 to 9 handicap, Class B (10-15), Class C (16-19) , Class D (20 and up) and separate ladies and guests/sponsors. Awards will be given to the Over-all Champion, Low Gross, and the top 3 net winners per division.

A five-day, four-night Asian cruise from Royal Caribbean International/Baron Travel, a set of irons from Mizuno, a Texas Eagle golf cart courtesy of the Turf Company, and three LCD TVs are at stake as hole-in-one prizes.
