Fed Golf stages senior care classic

The Federation of Golf Clubs Phils., Inc. will stage the 2008 annual Senior Care Fellowship Golf Classic on Dec. 23 at the Ayala Greenfield Golf and Leisure Club in Calamba, Laguna.

Format of the 18-hole event is a two-man, best-ball team competition with the field to be divided into three divisions based on team handicap.

Only the first 100 players or 50 teams will be accepted. Payment of the P1,000 entry fee must be made at the Federation Secretariat today.

The Philippine Sports Commission, is major sponsor. Other sponsors are Master Sports Corporation (Mizuno), Pascual Laboratories, Inc. (Immuvit), ABW, Gargol and CranUTI.

To be contested are the overall low gross and overall low net awards, the low gross and low net per division and the top three places per division.

The team handicap is 30 percent of the total handicap of the two members of the team. The Nov. 2008 board handicap will apply.

The Senior Care tourney is the season-ending competition in the Federation calendar which includes the men’s and ladies Federation League won by Riviera and Wack Wack this year.
