Eagle Ridge tourney uses four courses

-

With its four championship courses set to be used for its annual member-guest invitational tournament December 12-13, the sprawling Eagle Ridge Golf and Country Club in Gen. Trias, Cavite will need just two days to accommodate more than 600 players for the event dubbed as Fore by Four Invitational.

The four-course format makes Fore by Four unique since the country’s other major member-guest events are forced to stretch to as many as five or six days since their courses can’t handle a large field in a day.

Eagle project director Wini Gob also said the use of courses designed by Nick Faldo, Isao Aoki, Greg Norman and Andy Dye for its member-guest allows everybody to play under the same conditions.

Being a yearend event, Gob also believes that a shortened member-guest would also give members and their guests the chance to enjoy the other holiday parties usually held in December.

Three players will be driving home a brand-new Toyota Vios after the tournament as the raffle affair awards one car for the member and another for his chosen partner. There is also a separate raffle exclusive to members.

The Fore by Four’s major sponsors are Toyota Motor Philippines, Inc., WG Golf, PacSports, SG Enterprises, Aqua Dyne and Inquirer Golf/Philippine Daily Inquirer.

The members’ published club handicap index as of November 2007 will be used as the team handicap for the tournament. The guest partner shall submit his/her lowest November 2007 handicap index in any club of which he/she is a member.
