Dolphins, Patriots seek baseball final

-

Cebu and Forward Taguig try to stage a best-of-three showdown for Baseball Philippines Series IV crown as they take on separate rivals today in the semifinal round at the Rizal Baseball Stadium.

The Dolphins, seeking a return trip to the finals since bagging the BP Series II title, and the Patriots, eyeing a first championship appearance, need only to beat the Batangas Bulls and the Dumaguete Unibikers once to forge the title duel.

Cebu and Forward Taguig enjoy twice-to-beat edges over Batangas and Dumaguete after finishing tied on top with 8-2 marks after the classification round.

“We’ll go for the win because we don’t want anymore complications,” said Cebu team manager Isaac Bacarisas in Filipino, whose Dolphins will face the Bulls at 10:30 a.m.

The Patriots battle the Unibikers at 2 p.m.
