Loyola, Old School booters take openers

-

Loyola FC and Old School FC swept both their opening games last weekend at the ASCOM field in Fort Bonifacio to lead the opening day winners in the 2008 Lotto Titans Football Cup.

However, it was Loyola FC which came up with the more impressive victories as it blanked Diliman-based Privates FC, 6-0, with Mark Ramos booting in two goals in the team’s first game, and followed it up with an even more emphatic 8-0 win over Adobo FC with hat-tricks from Ramos and Tristan Tongson this time.

Old School FC provided the opening day thriller with a hard-earned victory over Makati Titans FC as Old School FC scored two goals in the first half, one from Ed Gozo, the other by Benny Yap and allowed Makati Titans only one goal in the second half, courtesy of Evan Santos, to finalize the score at 2-1.

The second win for Old School came at the expense of Privates FC, 2-0, with both goals scored by Vlad Wycoco. However, on goal difference, Loyola FC sits on top of the Jim Beam-sponsored league after two rounds.
