Ross Valino, the 2007 champion, heads the cast in skateboarding that includes Kit Ledesma and dark horse Elvin Benitez while Jay Trinidad and Paul Rodriguez are the men to watch in BMX stunt flatland event.
Defending champion Willy Bolado battles the like of Juan Andal, veterans Edward Tamaray and Allan Dave Legaspi in Aggressive In-line.
Registration starts 9 a.m. with competition kicking off at 1 p.m.

Brothers Rommel and Alji Cantonjos completed aa 1-2 finish in the 14-years-old-and-below chess tournament at the Quezon Memorial Circle chess plaza recently.
Ariel Caranguian placed third followed by Renan Michael Basas, Christian David Luchina, Stephen Rome Pangilinan, John Paulo Fondevilla, Marjon Mendez, Hans Christian Balingit and Darryl Jay Dagdag in that order.

Elorde holds 4-cock anniversary derby
A big anniversary four-cock derby featuring entries coming from top cock breeders will be held on Nov. 24 at the Elorde Cockpit Stadium in Sucat Road, Parañaque.
Promoted by Johnny Elorde, the derby offers a guaranteed prize of P4 million with money pegged at P11,000. The handler and the gaffer of the winning entry will receive P20,000 and P10,000, respectively, with minimum bet at P5,500 weight limit set from 1.8 to 2.4 kgs.

Gov. Umali chess reset
To accommodate more entries, organizers of the Gov. Aurelio Umali Cup-National Open Chess Championship decided to reset the event from Dec. 3-8 to Jan. 21-26, 2009. The event, jointly organized by the Nueva Ecija government and the National Chess Federation of the Philippines (NCFP), offers a total cash prize of P850,000 with the champion getting P200,000.
The runner-up and the third placer will receive P100,000 and P80,000 and trophies, respectively.
The fourth placer and fifth placer will bring home P70,000 and trophy and P60,000 and trophy.
The top three finishers in different categories will also get consolation prizes, including P10,000 (top female), P7,000 (top non-master), P7,000 (top under-14), P7,000 (top senior). Registration fee is P500.
