Besa, De Quiros dominate Unilever golf

Mike Besa of FilGolf Magazine topped the print media category while Resty de Quiros of DZAR ruled the broadcast media division in the annual Unilever’s Barkada Golf Classic at Club Intramuros recently.

Roger Garcia of Business Mirror placed second in the print division followed by Jong Arcano and Musong Castillo of Inquirer, Rey Eñano of Standard, Roman Floresca of The STAR and Tempo’s Rey Bancod.

BJ Mendalla, also of DZAR, took the runner-up honors in the broadcast category followed by Deo Macalma of DZRH, Alther Cruz of DZAR, Jun Nicdao of MBA and Jay Sonza of UNTV.

The event, sponsored by Unilever for the 12th year to foster camaraderie and sportsmanship among the firm’s key partners in the business, drew participants from the media, local government and business sectors.

“I extend my thanks to all of you for joining us in the tournament. We are all working hard to set a business poised for sustainable growth. With your help we will all grow this business together,” said Unilever chairman Fernando Fernandez during the awards rites where fabulous prizes and raffle items were given away.
