-

With limited slots of 160 players per school, alumni are encouraged to register before the 21st edition of the Ateneo-La Salle Golf Classic on Friday at the North and South Courses of Canlubang Golf and Country Club.

The Green Archers and the Blue Eagles are tied at 1-1, with perpetual trophies displayed in their respective campuses. The winning school this year will earn bragging rights.

The tournament offers a hole-in-one prize – a Yamaha Golf Cart, a set of Titleist and Cobra Irons and a Club Car Golf Cart – on designated par 3s of both courses.

Among the sponsors are Pepsi Cola, Pioneer Insurance, Johnnie Walker Scotch Whiskey, Titleist, Wine Depot, Microtel, Animo Magazine, Hidden Valley Springs, SMART and Linden Suites.

The entry fee is P2, 700, which is inclusive of green fee, two mulligans, giveaways, lunch and a chance to win raffle prizes.

Participants will be competing in eight divisions – the Championship, A, B, C and D, Ladies, Senior and Open Class. October handicap indices will be used to determine classification as well as to compute the net scores. Those without handicaps will play System 36 in the Open Class.

Due to the maximum alloted to each school, a shotgun tee-off for the first to sign-up, first to choose hole assignment will be implemented.
