In an All-Filipino showdown for the women’s compound gold, veteran Abbigail Tindugan and rookies Kristina Bismark and Arlene Infante came up with big hits to defeat former Olympian Jennifer Chan, Quinnie Cabuguason and Geraldine Cabral, 216-209.

Tindugan’s squad took a 158-156 lead after the third end then sealed the win by outscoring Chan and company, 58-53, in the fourth and final end.

“It was an exciting match because the archers were evenly distributed. The events were unpredictable because of the even playing field. We’re very happy that we won,” said the 20-year-old Bismark.
