Eclarinal tops MCC chess

Joseph Eclarinal of Taytay beat Dario Enriquez in the fifth and final round and bagged the MCC 1850 below chess tourney held over the weekend at the Lower 2F of St. Francis Square behind SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City.

Seeded 10th, Eclarinal who recorded a total output of four points with four wins and one loss actually tied for first to third places along with businessman Raul Villate and Emmanuel Emperado. However, due to better tie break Eclarinal won the title and shared the pooled cash prize of P5,500.
