The Heart Foundation of the Philippines will hold the “First Gentleman’s Cup – Heart and Golf” tournament on Oct. 24, at the North Course of the Canlubang Golf and Country Club in Canlubang, Laguna.
Retired Gen. Emiliano Templo, chairman of the Special Events Committee said that the event is a project of the HFP Pusong Nagmamahal Fund Campaign which aims to strengthen the foundation’s financial position to be able to support the treatment of more disadvantaged Filipinos suffering from heart conditions.
The tournament is named after the First Gentleman, Jose Miguel Arroyo, fundraising chairman, who himself is a heart patient. A donation of P20,000 by a team composed of two members will entitle them to play in the tournament and a chance to win a brand new car in the “Hole-in-One and other raffle prizes during the awards night.
