Milo Little Olympics-Luzon under way in Lingayen

LINGAYEN, Pangasinan – At least 5,000 elementary and high school athletes from four regions show their stuff in the 11th Milo Little Olympics-Luzon which gets going today at the Narciso Ramos Sports and Civic Center (NRSCC).

Tess Bernardino, Milo sports organizer in Luzon, said they are expecting young athletes from the Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley Region, Central Luzon, and the Cordilleras for the three-day event.

Events on tap are athletics, badminton, chess, football, gymnastics, lawn tennis, sepak takraw, swimming, table tennis, taekwondo, and volleyball, said Bernardino.

Bernardino said the NRSCC has been a favorite venue for Milo Little Olympics because of its world-class facility and the warm reception of the provincial government.

The provincial government led by Gov. Amado Espino, Jr. has been very supportive to the budding athletes, Bernardino said.
