Miguel Carlo Aytona, only son of Clarence and Dorothy of Skynet Travel Corp., is no ordinary kid.
Miggy, as he is fondly called, is tops both in class and in sports. His parents couldn’t be happier as he is able to successfully accomplish both tasks.
The 12-year old incoming Grade 7 at De La Salle Greenhills is a consistent Top 5 in academics and a member of the school’s varsity squad that plays in SBP and PRADA.
“I enjoy studying and playing basketball at the same time,” says Miggy who is the point guard of coach Mark Herrera’s Batang TnT-QC in the fifth year of Burlington Batang PBA Summer Basketball League.
Miggy is the only kid to have played in three successive editions of the Burlington tourney.
Together with Burgy, the Burlington socks mascot, he is promoting for kids like him to take up at least one sport as it teaches discipline, patience and hardwork.
The Burlington management led by Pete Tan believes that these are the core values needed by young people in order to succeed in life.
“Our sponsorship of leagues such as the Batang PBA for the past decades is our humble contribution to youth and sports development,” said Tan whose firm is also into marketing anti-microbial undies, towels, foot powder under the brand, Bio-Fresh.
