With barely five weeks before his crack at Diaz’s title, Pacquiao stressed the need to train seriously and made it clear that he will never take his rival lightly.
“I don’t want to underestimate Diaz. I don’t want to lose focus on this fight, I am hungry to win,” said Pacquiao, adding that he is right on track as far as his training is concerned.

“He’s a world champion at 135 lbs. It’s not an easy fight for me,” said Pacquiao, who took notice of his rival’s power and punching style.
“Well, he has power also, and he can punch. He hits hard every fight, and he throws a lot of punches,” said the Gen. Santos native, adding that he is more comfortable fighting at 135 lbs.
While Pacquiao said he never looks past his opponents, he nevertheless hinted at facing British icon Ricky Hatton in a future fight.
“Yes, there is a big possibility of that fight happening. But right now I am staying focused on Diaz,” said Pacquiao.
