GMA to grace first Siargao game fishing

President Arroyo will be the guest of honor in the grand opening of the first Siargao Invitational Game Fishing Tournament tomorrow at Siargoa Island with 60 local and foreign anglers seeing action.

 Veteran anglers  will clash for honors with top bets from Malaysia, Taiwan and Russia in the event  organized by Surigao del Norte Rep. Francisco Matugas, the local government of Pilar and the Department of Tourism (DOT). 

Three of the countrys top game fishing clubs – the Philippine Game Fishing Foundation, the Philippine Sports Fishing Club and the Silver Jack Fishing Club of Manila – also support the said event.

 Cash prizes and trophies will be awarded to anglers with the highest weight points and those with heavy catch.       – Rainier Allan Ronda
