Toyota eyes solo lead vs RP five

-

The Philippine Basketball League returns to its old home at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium today with Toyota Balintawak gunning for the solo lead against the national team and Harbour Centre eyeing its second straight win against Bacchus Energy in the 2008 PBL V-Go Extreme Energy Drink.

The four-peat seeking Harbour Centre clashes with Bacchus Energy Drink in the 2 p.m. match featuring UAAP rivals TY Tang and Rico Maierhofer of La Salle and University of the East’s James Martinez, Hans Thiele and Mark Fampulme.

The 5-foot-7 Tang made a grand debut for Harbour Centre as he exploded for 26 points, including back-to-back triples in the final quarter to help the Batang Pier beat the Philippine Team, 83-74.

Tang hopes to redisplay his fiery form when the Batang Pier shoot for their second straight win against the Bacchus Energy squad, winless in two starts.

Commissioner Chino Trinidad said the stadium was refurbished last week to make it more attractive and playable.
