The Court of Appeals (CA) ordered yesterday the deportation of Graham Lim, former secretary general of the Basketball Association of the Philippines (BAP).
In an 11-page decision penned by Associate Justice Ramon Bato, Jr., the CA’s tenth division upheld the resolution of the Office of the President junking Lim’s petition seeking to nullify the March 29, 2005 and April 8, 2005 deportation orders of the Bureau of Immigration.
"In sum, it has been substantially proven that petitioner is an alien who misrepresented himself as a Filipino citizen. He is therefore considered as an undesirable alien and must be deported," the CA said. – Rodel Clapano
