"Boxers never predict the round where theyll knock out their opponents," said Pacquiaos younger brother. "I dont care in what condition Morales is in, theres no way hell beat Manny."
Bobby said he tried hard to make the 130-pound limit for the Velazquez fight but just couldnt bring down his weight from 133. He tried to sweat off the excess weight for two hours in a steam room but no fluid would come out from his pores. Bobby said he will now campaign as a lightweight where the limit is 135 pounds.
"Manny didnt get mad at me," he said. "Its a thing of the past now. We just have to move on."
Bobby decked Velazquez in the third round with an uppercut to the head. But he was deducted two points for low blows in the third and fifth rounds. When he struck low once more, referee Kenny Bayless ruled a disqualification at 2:56 of the 11th round.
Bobby led on two of the three judges scorecards when the fight was stopped.
Bobby insisted he hit Velazquez on the beltline and accused Bayless of partiality.
"Velazquez would hit me during the break but was never warned," said Bobby. "Velazquez is a better actor than a boxer."
