Super Sealers ready to sizzle in PBL Cup

Philippine Basketball League newcomer Henkel Sista is all set to sizzle in the Silver Cup which kicks off on Nov. 11. Slotman Samigue Eman, former pro Gilbert Malabanan, former San Sebastian College standout Nur Alfad and UE Red Warriors star Marcy Arellano will lead a team composed of promising collegiate dribblers aiming to excel in the league .
Team manager and Henkel Philippines human resource manager Armand Hicarte said Henkel has joined the countrys foremost commercial league in celebration of its 30th years anniversary in the Philippines.
"Our participation is a manifestation of sealing Henkels friendship with the Filipino community. In forming Sista Super Sealers, we chose players who are able to bond with the community, exemplify Henkels vision and values, and burning passion and commitment to excellence," Hicarte said, adding that their partnership with the College of St. Benilde enabled them to pick young players that fit the profile perfectly.
He said the PBLs vision on youth development ties in with Henkels intent of contributing to cause-worthy programs in countries where it operates its business.
"Basketball is a popular sport among the youth which espouses teamwork an important value that we can help develop in our youth today who are the future leaders of our nation," he said.
Caloy Garcia, currently St. Benilde head coach and Welcoat Dragons assistant coach, will lead the rookie team. Jude Roque is deputy manager.
