October 30, 2006 | 12:00am
This time, actor Cesar Montano will lead celebrities to the center ring, as the Manila Broadcasting Company (MBC) reprises the controversial "Bakbakan 06" Nov. 10, 4 p.m., at the Star City Activity Center, CCP Complex, Pasay City.
Montano will slug it out with professional boxer Charlie Balena, while others come face to face with their co-celebrities Polo Ravales vs Justin de Leon; Christian Vasquez vs John Hall; and Rommel Montano vs Emilio Garcia.
The first "Bakbakan" held last August, hogged the headlines when the Montano brothers figured in a melee with model Andrew Wolffe. Cesar Montano challenged Wolffe to a match after the model defeated Rommel.
Other bouts will feature Jury Noda vs Jun Alba as the main event, with supporting bout pitting Dondon Jimenea against Efren Huesca.
The event is mounted in cooperation with Touch Mobile, Enervon Tablet, Shell Helix and M. Lhuillier.
MBC is the countrys largest and most powerful radio network. One of two radio listeners in Metro Manila listens to an MBC station, according to the Radio Research Council survey.
MBC is the parent company of DzRH, Love Radio and Yes FM 101.1.
