The Philippines scored another triumph in the last ASEAN shooting circuit in Jakarta, Indonesia, claiming a gold on top of a silver and bronze against Asias best shooters. The Philippine squad was composed of World Shoot champion Jag Lejano, Stephen Hinojales, Jay Morales, Julie Defensor and Marlon Valencia.
Hinojales, 22, clinched the individual gold in the Open Shoot category, making him the "fastest gun in Asia."
Lejano won the bronze medal in his comeback in the Open Shoot category after his successful stint in the modified gun event while Marlon Valencia won the silver in the Standard category in a close match against perennial rival from Thailand.
Lejano is a legend in Philippine practical shooting when he made history as the first Filipino World Shoot champion, earning the feat last year in Ecuador.
