CJ fiery series tops WC elims

Former World Cup champion C.J. Suarez stepped up his bid for a crack at another international stint recently by rolling a blistering 12-game series of 2770 pinfalls to top the first center finals of the 2006 World Cup national eliminations at Paeng’s Eastwood.

Suarez finished way ahead of the other qualifier, Snooks Samson, who tallied 2199.

Little-known Manny Allego also had a fiery series over at Powerbowl, carding 2714 to outsteady Steve Robles, who came up with 2655. National bowler Irene Benitez topped the ladies’ division at Powerbowl with 2256.

The other bowlers who advanced to the national finals follow:
