Sta. Lucia top gun Kenneth Duremdes is again back on the sideline as he re-injured his left ankle in practice, just a few days after being reactivated from the injury list.
This time, Duremdes is relegated to the reserve status, enabling the team to activate Paeng Santos as they play the Coca-Cola Tigers at the resumption of the Gran Matador Brandy PBA Philippine Cup at the Araneta Coliseum.
Sta. Lucia and Coca-Cola clash at 4:40 p.m. then Talk n Text and Alaska Milk collide at 7:35 p.m.
The Realtors are down in the cellar with a 2-8 win-loss card as theyve yet to really get their game going with injuries to key players Duremdes, Dennis Espino and Marlou Aquino.
They resume their campaign in the All-Filipino after the All-Star break smarting from three straight defeats.
Another bad news for Sta. Lucia is the return of Ali Peek. The hulking Coca-Cola slotman missed the All-Star Game due to an injury he suffered in practice but hes ready to get back into action.
"Hes ready to play," said Coca-Cola coach Binky Favis in a text message to The STAR.
