Juggernaut stakes unbeaten run in Kabayan Race Festival

Juggernaut tries to remain unbeaten when the Philracom Chairman’s Cup, the centerpiece event of the "Kabayan Racing Festival," is held this afternoon at the San Lazaro Leisure Park in Carmona, Cavite.

Jockey Jonathan Hernandez will be on top of Juggernaut, a Triple Crown favorite, during the 1,600-m race being held in honor of Budget Secretary Rolando Andaya Jr.

Out to challenge Juggernaut for the P600,000 top purse are Million Dollar, Manila’s Gem, King’s Dominion, Kilimanjaro, Maximum Exposure, Paminsanminsan, Speed Bullet, Rebecca’s Magic and Golden Number.

Runner-up will receive P225,000, third P125,000 and fourth P50,000. The breeder’s purse is P60,000.

The "Kabayan Racing Festival" honoring Vice President Noli de Castro offers a total purse of P2.25 million. Other races on tap are the Charity Cup, Pagcor Cup Smart Cup, Pag-Ibig Cup, PLDT Cup, Philracom Cup and PCSO Cup.
