Bata wins anew with younger eyes

A 20-20 vision is sending Filipino pool idol Efren "Bata" Reyes back on the warpath.
Reyes scored a second major win in the US in a little over a month by topping the One-Pocket Division of the Derby City Classic Friday at the Executive West Hotel in Louisville, Kentucky.
Reyes blanked American Jason Miller, 3-0, for the championship which came after his conquest of another American rival Mike Sigel, 2-0, in the 2005 International Pool Tour 8-ball shootout last December at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.
The Filipino billiards ace, who underwent a laser treatment in his eyes recently, ruled the same One Pocket tourney in 1999 the same year he topped the World Pool Championship in Cardiff, Wales.
Reyes apparently struggled with poor eyesight early last year, losing the overall title in the Asian 9-Ball Tour and failing to advance in the knockout round of the WPC.
