Rosario, Malaysian share skeet lead

The Philippines Paul Brian Rosario shared the lead with Malaysian Cheong Yew Kwan after three rounds of individual skeet shooting event in Muntinlupa yesterday.

Rosario, who had a perfect score in the second round, amassed 70 points to tie Cheong. Rosario’s compatriots Darius Alexis Hizon and Patrico Bernardo shot 68 and 65, respectively.

In team event, the Nationals emerged strong contender for the gold with 203 in a tie with Malaysia .Singapore settled for third with 196.

In the women’s event, 19-year-old Sutiya Jiewchaloemmit of Thailand won the gold with 84 points. Vietnam’s Nguyen Thi Duc Hanh took the silver with 82, while the bronze went to Singapore’s Ng Swee Theng with 78.
