Barakos cruise to third straight win vs Realtors

Sta. Lucia Realty still couldn’t squeeze the game it needed from import Leon White in his final game with the team last night, falling easy prey to Red Bull Barako in the San Mig Coffee PBA Fiesta Cup at the Astrodome.

Quemont Greer showed up White and Red Bull rookie Leo Najorda had his breakthrough game in the pros as the Barakos dominated the Realtors, 95-78, to close in further on the league leaders with their third straight win.

Jacking up their win-loss record to 4-2, the Barakos moved just a game behind the Purefoods Chunkee Giants (5-1) and half-game off the Talk n Text Phone Pals (4-1).

White couldn’t put a performance that could make the team management change its mind in its decision to once again change an import. He struggled for only 16 points as the Realtors went without a single win in three games with him.

Alaska Milk fired blanks early on before slowly finding its range as the Aces also made it three in a row with a 68-62 whipping of the Coca-Cola Tigers in the second game.

The Aces stayed tied with the Barakos at third place with identical 4-2 cards.
