The Aces came out smoking from their 90-92 overtime loss to the Hotdogs Friday, outclassing the Kings in a splendid performance worthy of their billing as a pre-tournament favorite.
Snapping a two-game skid with the most lopsided win in the season thus far, the Aces drew level with the Kings and the Red Bull Barakos on identical 2-2 win-loss records.
"I have to give credit to the boys for bouncing back like this. You really have to appreciate this bunch of young guys learning their lesson real well," said Alaska coach Tim Cone.
Cone said he was nervous as they headed to the dugout for the halftime break with a 51-32 margin. "Id never been so nervous being up by 19 points at halftime. I was so nervous and shaking because of what happened the last time, " he said.
