Triple Crown third leg today

The third and final leg of this years Triple Crown, the P1.67 million Horsemans Cup, will be staged today at the San Lazaro Leisure Park in Carmona, Cavite.
Being held in honor of industrialist Norberto Quisumbing Sr., the 2,000-meter race has attracted the countrys finest three-year-old gallopers.
Speed Advantage, Real Spicy and Thywillbedone, the winner of the second leg, are expected to figure in a tight finish.
The other contenders are "D" As In Dexie, In Command, Ocean Deep, War Alert and Wind Runner.
At stake aside from the prestige of the Triple Crown is the juicy P1 million winners purse. Runner-up is worth P376,750, third P209,250 and fourth P84,000.
"The Manila Jockey Club, Inc. (MJCI) is honored to host the last leg of the Philracom-sponsored Triple Crown held in honor of one of the most successful local horse owners during the post-war years until the 70s," said MJC chairman and chief executive officer Alfonso Reyno Jr.
Lending support to todays featured event is the Hopeful stakes race which carries a total pot money of P500,000 and the P400,000 Ciara Marie Foundation Cup, a fund-raising event for the foundation named after the late daughter of Mandaluyong Rep. Benhur Abalos. Ramon Romualdez
