FedEx-RP team opens HK bid

Thats how FedEx-RP coach Johnny Tam described the team on the eve of its opening-day match against Fukien (China) at the start of the 14th Eastcolight Super Kung Sheung Cup international invitational basketball championship at the Queen Elizabeth Stadium here Tuesday.
Led by 16-year PBA veteran Jerry Codinera and John Ferriols, the Filipinos will take the floor against the tall and young Chinese players starting at 2 p.m., the first of four matches kicking of hostilities in the week-long, eight-team tournament organized by the Hong Kong Basketball Association.
Codinera, a member of the "PBAs 25 Greatest Players" is the most experienced player in the 10-man FedEx-RP team supported by the Basketball Association of the Philippines (BAP), Accel and Bestank.
