With the victory, the former world No. 1 earned a total of $12,500 in prize money and appearance fee in the tournament participated in by the top Asian cue artists and some of the worlds best.
But Immonen made sure the Filipino had to earn every penny of it. Trailing for most part of the match, Immonen staged a late comeback and caught Bustamante at the hill, 10-10. Breaking for the match, Immonen pocketed two balls and left the red three hanging near the pocket. But the player known around the world pool circuit as the "Iceman" melted after a bad preparation on No. 4.
Bustamante opted for a safety shot, which proved to be brilliant as Immonen blundered on his turn to leave an easy clean-up.
Earlier, Bustamante waylaid Vietnamese upstart Luong Chi Dung, 9-2, and Immonen routed Chu Hung Ming of Chinese Taipei, 9-1, in separate semifinal duels.
Bustamantes semifinal opponent was the same player who eliminated his compatriots Efren "Bata" Reyes and Lee Van Corteza in the earlier rounds.
