Premium will be on stamina when a merry mix of imported and local horses vie for the top P1 million purse in the Classic Open Championship, a post-Christmas Day special, set today at the Santa Ana Park.
Sexiest and American Woman, two of the top imported chargers in the land today, head the foreign-bred horses that include Being There, Crystal Show, Stowaway Lass and coupled entries Real Slew and Neat Laurel.
Red Star Rising and coupled entries West Bound and Cover Girl lead the local bid that includes Don Paolo, Lyonnais and Suonos in the event set over the punishing 2,050-meter distance.
The second placer will receive P 376,750 while the third and fourth finishers will get P209,250 and P84,000, respectively. Ramon Romualdez
