Lyceum, RTU gun for 4th win in WNCAA basketball

Lyceum of the Philippines and Rizal Technological University go for win number four today when they take on separate foes at the resumption of the WNCAA 35th season basketball tournament at the St. Scholasticas College gym.
Lyceum will have an easy opponent in Siena College of Quezon City, which is still winless after four games, in their 2 p.m. match.
RTU will battle newcomer University of Asia & the Pacific (2-1) at 3:30 p.m.
Lyceum is coming off a 79-31 win over St. Scho last weekend while RTU will seek a follow-up to its 53-50 squeaker over host school San Beda College Alabang.
In seniors volleyball, University of the Assumption-Pampanga and RTU, joint leaders at 5-0, part ways in their 1:30 p.m. encounter at the latters turf.
Lyceum (3-0) tries to fortify its hold of second spot when it meets St. Scho at 10:30 a.m.
The WNCAA 35th season is co-presented by Kotex and sponsored by adidas, The Philippine Star, RPN 9, Monster Radio RX 93.1, Pantene and Café Lupe, in cooperation with Cadbury, Goldilocks, Powerade, Molten, Mikasa and Rustans Essenses.
In juniors basketball, defending champion Miriam College faces St. Stephens High School at 8 a.m. while De La Salle Zobel goes up against St. Scho at 11 a.m.
Both Miriam and DLSZ lead the juniors level at 2-0.
